Branden's Concurrent College Classes Fund

Last summer, Branden spent his days working. He tried to put his money away, but he ended up paying our electric bill and other bills. We appreciated his help with his money, but then he did not have his money for himself.

During this senior year, he was able to take some college classes for full college credits, but at a reduced cost. We were to pay this college bill last fall, but never seemed to have enough money to ever do that. Since he was taking more than a full class load, with no study halls and an extra class with no class time to make up the credits from missing his freshman year, we did not allow him to get a job as it was more important for him to receive good grades and credits toward graduating high school. Well, our financial situation still has not gotten to where we can afford to pay this college bill. But it needs to be paid before he can enroll in college, sign up for college classes, and receive financial aid and scholarships for next year.

He only needs $700, but that is more than one-quarter of our monthly income. Please help us get this bill paid before June 13th. That is the new deadline that the college has given us to pay this bill. If it were any later, we would be able to use the money he would receive at his graduation party. Please, if it suits you better, you could donate to this bill instead of giving Branden a monetary gift for graduation. He would love to have this bill paid so that he can get on with his future.

Thank you, you mean more to us than you will ever know.

Summer Camps

Nathaniel would like to attend Boy Scout Summer Camp and Northern Grace Youth Camp (Bible/church Camp) this summer. All our children would like to attend NGYC, but we just do not have the funds available for this. I am hoping that by reaching out to the community, maybe we could get enough financial help to send at least one, but maybe more of our children to summer camp this year.

We have applied for a scholarship for scout camp, but this year they are not covering his whole fee. Please find it in your heart to help us get Nathaniel, and possibly others, off to camps this year.

Thank you.

Michael Jr is too cute :) (meanie)

Lately, Michael Jr (2 1/2 years old) has been saying different family members are mean. He picked it up from others saying it, but daddy told him not to say "mean" anymore.

So, tonight when Branden (our oldest) was carrying boxes downstairs and outside, MJ was following him around and they were talking. Well, it is October (nearing the end) in Wisconsin (northeast), so we are trying to keep the door closed as much as possible, as the heat is on in the house.

Well, after Branden had taken a box out, Michael had closed the door. When Branden was trying to get back in, Michael was laughing and saying that he locked Branden out of the house. Branden says to Michael that locking him out was mean, and then said, "You are a meanie," while laughing and smiling. Michael was saying something to Branden and Branden was not really listening and kept repeating that Michael was goofy and being a little meanie.

When I stopped to listen to what Michael was really saying, I called Branden back and asked if he heard what Michael was saying. Here's what MJ was saying, "Bandin, daddy no say mean; daddy no say mean." (Daddy said not to say "mean".)

Oh my word, that boy is such cute little thing.....I could just eat him up!!!!

I have no idea where that boy comes from!!

7/4/2013

Wow, it was amazing :)

This past Thursday, the fourth of July, I actually got to sleep in and wake up on my own! In a small house full of 7 children (ages 18 years to 2 years, 3 months old), there's usually some noise that will wake me up. I may lay in bed for a while, but I am awake.

This time it was different. The five oldest (18, 16, 13, 11, & 7) are on a camping trip with their Aunt & Uncle. We only have the 5 year old and the 2.25 year old home. And they usually sleep in. :)

So this was a nice "QUIET" morning for me/us. When I woke up, it was between 9:00 and 10:00 am. Been a LONG time since I've gotten to do that.

Very nice morning :)

{yes, I kinda miss the kids ;) }

Baby MJ

"Baby MJ" is 2 days shy of 26 months. Such a handsome, sweet little guy! Love him. He is the youngest of 7 children.

He's too cute, but especially today :)

I turned on "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" and he started watching. All of a sudden, he runs up to the tv to show me something. He had spotted a toy truck on the shelf in Daniel's room, but by the time he got to the tv, the picture changed and there was a character in front of the shelf. MJ is *wiping* at the character as if to push it out of the way so that he could see the truck on the shelf! It was too funny!
